Fleet Maintenance Specialist Position

A trucking company is seeking a reliable Fleet Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Chicago Ridge. We are seeking a self-motivated individual to help ensure our fleet is compliant, properly maintained, and ready for safe operation. Responsibilities: - Maintain registration, inspection, permitting, and compliance for all trucks. - Communicate with drivers regarding maintenance and repair schedules. - Perform general administrative duties related to fleet operations. - Inspect and prepare trucks for drivers. - Ensure all equipment meets U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. - Transport trucks within Illinois for repair or delivery to dealers. - Perform towing (there is an additional fee for these services). Requirements: - A valid CDL (commercial driver's license) is required. - Previous experience in trucking, fleet maintenance, or transportation is a plus, but not required. - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
