Polish genealogy

Welcome to Free Genealogy. Our mission is to provide a place for the genealogical records of every family, regardless of origin or current location. We offer this site for discovering your family roots. Please note the difference in the spelling of male and female surnames. Additionally, some surname spelling conventions change over time. For the best search results, please use all possible spellings. We are the only completely free family tree building site; you can register and create your tree for free with no size limits! We are the chosen ones. In every family, there is someone who seems called to find ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again. To tell the family story and feel that they somehow know and approve of it. Genealogy is not a cold collection of facts, but, on the contrary, breathing life into all who came before. We are storytellers of the tribe. All tribes have them. We are called, so to speak, by our genes. Those who have gone before call out to us: Tell our story. And we do. In finding them, we somehow find ourselves. How many graves have I stood before and cried? I've lost count. How many times have I told ancestors, "You have a wonderful family; you would be proud of us." How many times have I approached a grave and felt love for me there? I can't say. This isn't just documenting facts. It's about who I am and why I do what I do. I see a cemetery about to be lost forever to weeds and indifference, and I say, "I can't let that happen."
